Thats a Wrap!

August 18, 2009

I would like to extend a big thank to the City of Post Falls for allowing the 2nd Annual Post Falls Food Fest take place at the city hall!

What an extreme difference of weather from the 1st year food fest. We battled triple digits last year and this last weekend we had a thunderstorm Saturday and so so weather on Sunday. That’s what you get in North Idaho.

The Competitive Food Eating contests went off without anyone losing their lunch!

Paul threw down 51 Hot Wings, donated by Wing Stop in CDA (THANKS). Chantz demolished 8 slices of pizza in under 10 minutes (I GOT SECOND WITH 6). Thanks Little Caesars for the Pizza! The Cupcake challenge went to Brandon with 9 Cupcakes in 5 minutes. Big shout out to Big Bear Deli, located in Post Falls, for the cucpakes.

Until next year….

THANKS!!

Where will the PF Food Fest be held?

March 23, 2009

Since Mangia closed its doors where will the Food Fest be held this year?

We are working on a proposal for the city so we can hold the event on 4th Street. It is directly off the Spokane Street exit. Our ideal space will be from Spokane Street to William.  More space and a street fair atmosphere!

I had some awesome food at the Mangia booth can I get that delicious food anywhere?

Yes! Mangia Catering Company was formed shortly after closing the restaurant and is run by Mangia chef and Food Fest promoter, Tim Mitchell.

You can call Tim @ (208) 819-4501 to inquire about the catering abilities, cooking classes and festival schedule.
